Cynthia George Wilson, 66, retired educator with the Lee County Public School System, transitioned from her earthly home on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Carolina Pines Hospital, Hartsville, SC.

Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Mattie Copeland George.

Ms. Wilson is a 1969 graduate of Dennis High School in Bishopville, SC. She received her bachelor degree from Bennett College and a master degree from Cambridge University.


Public viewing will be held from 3pm- 7pm on October 5, 2018 at Square Deal Funeral Home, 106 McIntosh Street, Bishopville, SC.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, October 6, 2018, St. Mark Baptist Church, 510 Manville-Wisacky Road, Bishopville, with the Rev. Yancy C. Martin, Sr., pastor/eulogist. Interment will follow in the St. Mark Memorial Garden.
