Obituary for Silas Boone
Mr. Silas Boone, 88, passed on Friday, December 14, 2018 at his residence in Bishopville, SC.
Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Burrell,Sr and Hannah Bell Brown Boone.
Mr. Boone was a corporal in the the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1954.
He was united in marriage to Ruby Lee Williams and to this union, seven children were born.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, five daughters; Carolyn Rena Wilson ( Levi) of Bishopville, Evelyn Teresa Boone of Wilmington,, DE, Sara Janelle Rush of Aurora, IL, Evelyn Reds Boone and Dina Boone both of Pittsburg, PA; four sons, Thaddeus, Vandoren and Eric Boone all of Philadelphia, PA, and Anthony Boone of Darlington, SC; two step-daughters, Rudine Mulliins of Bishopville, SC and Cynthia Good of Columbia, SC; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Laura M. Boone and Shirley A. Boone of Philadelphia, PA and Pauline Boone Mitchell of Bishopville, SC; two brothers, Ralph (Barbara) Boone of Philadelphia,, PA and Walter L. (Janie) Boone of Bishopville, SC; three sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Herbert & James Boone, Marvin Porter, Ernest R and Burrell Boone, Jr,; two nephews, Craig M. Mitchell and Todd C. Boone; and one niece, Hannah Boone.
Visitation for Mr. Boone will be held from 2-6 pm Friday,December 21, 2018 from the Square Deal Funeral Home Chapel,, 106 McIntosh Street, Bishopville, SC 29010.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 22, 2018, New Haven United Methodist Church, 3159 Red Hill Road, Bishopville. Interment with military honor will be held at Boone Memorial Garden, APEC Cemetery Road (Browntown Area), Bishopville, SC.
