Mr. Isaac "Booker T" Toney was born on April 15, 1938 in Lee County, South Carolina to the late Isaac and Gussie Toney. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his residence.
He attended the public schools of Lee County. He later moved to New York City where he met Claretha Moyd and they were married on August 27, 1960 in Wheatley Heights, New York.
Booker T relocated to South Carolina in 1976 and was a self-employed automobile car painter for 50 years.
Isaac "Booker T" Toney was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Gussie Stuckey Toney; sisters, Mary cook, Dorothy Toney and Ada Lovely; two brothers, Lucious Toney and Roland Toney.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters; Jackie Toney Walter (Carl) of Mayfield, PA, Laverne Hudson Caesar (Paul) of Sumter, SC, and Shanda Toney of Bishopville, SC; one son, Lance Toney; two brothers, Everett Toney and Jessie Toney of Saginaw, MI; three sisters, Otelia Hickman of Georgia, Llillie B. Boykin of Washington, DC and Jannie Toney of Bishopville, SC; sister-in-law Millie Gillyard (James); three brothers-in-law, Caesar Moyd, Tyrone Moyd and Melvin Moyd; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
