Obituary for Edward Bernard Addison

Edward Bernard Addison, son of the late Willie Bill Addison and Eliza Magazine Addison, was born on October 16, 1961, in Bishopville, SC. He departed his earthly life on Monday, March 18, 2019.

Bernard attended the public schools of Lee County. He moved to Waterbury, Connecticut, where he made his mark in life and lived life to the fullest. His gentle nature touched everyone he met. Although he did not have any children of his own, he passionately loved and cared for his nephews, nieces, and all those who fell under his care. To know him was to love him.

Bernard returned home to South Carolina to the tender caring hands of his sisters, who faithfully and diligently nurtured him. He joined the Jamestown Road Church of God and faithfully gave his life to the Lord. There were no greater love that he could have found. He gave continuous praises as God spoke to his heart. In God, he found his peace.

He leaves to cherish his memories, five sisters; Ida Singleton, Brenda Holloman, Teresa (B) Jenkins and Patricia (Wortham) Davis, all of Bishopville, SC; Yvonne (Leroy) Fleming of Camden, NJ; four brothers, Leroy (Shellie) Addison of Bishopville, SC; Albert Addison of Washington DC; a special friend, Evelyn Goodman of Waterbury, CT; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother,Willie James Addison.
