Obituary for Aaron Leman Lewis

Aaron Leman Lewis, was born on October 15, 1996 in Hartsville, SC to the loving parents of Mr. Senior Lewis, Jr, and the late Darlene Scarborough Lewis. He departed this life on Friday afternoon, July 12, 2019.

At an early age, Aaron joined St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Praise Team Ministry, the Usher Ministry and also the Choir.We will not soon forget these contributions given from the heart of one who was loved by so many.

Aaron was a 2015 graduate of Crestwood High School in Sumter, SC.

Aaron was a man who was not afraid to work; therefore, his occupations consisted of a variety of opportunities. He worked as a Cook at Wendy's , Bishopville, SC, a stocker at both the Neighborhood Walmart and Walmart Supercenter, Discount Tires in Sumter, SC, and as a dining facility attendant in Ft. Riley, KS.

Aaron leaves to remember his life; a very dear friend, Shaleah Belton of Turkey Creek, SC; eight brothers, David A. Scarborough, Ervin T. Rogers, Patrick S. Rogers, all of Bishopville, SC, Senior (Walisha ) Lewis of Lexington, SC, Ricardo Lewis of Columbia, SC, Scott (Jessica) Lewis and Bryant Lewis of Charleston, SC, and Cambridge Lewis of Sumter, SC; eleven sisters, Chief Warrant Officer Two Deandria N. Rogers, Ashleigha (Ricardo) Brown, Candise Q. Rogers, Kimberlee Rogers, all of Columbia, SC, Brandalyn Rogers, Darcenia Lewis, Lili Lewis, Loretta (Alex) Caldwell, Sandra Lewis, all of Bishopville, SC, Frances Lewis of Sumter, SC and Yolanda (Cynthia) Lewis of Rembert, SC; his grandmother, Mrs. Estelle G. Scarborough; five uncles, James Scarborough, David (Linda) Scarborough, Alton (Lovakia) Scarborough, all of Bishopville, SC, Larry Lewis of Portland, OR and Emmanuel (Peggy) Lewis of Brooklyn, NY; five aunts, Olenthia (Charles) Jones of Lilburn, GA, Cassandra (Ronald) McLeod of Fayetteville, NC, Janie (Walter) Boone of Bishopville, SC, Nether (John) Holliday and Carrie Oaks of Sumter, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene S. Lewis; his brother, Terence C. Scarborough; his sister, Regina Holloman; paternal grandparents, Senior Lewis, Sr and Lois B. Lewis; one maternal grandfather, Ernest "Shot" Scarborough, Sr; two uncles and one aunt.
