Obituary for Helton "Boot" Abraham
Mr. Helton "Boot" Abraham, son of Major and Julia Scarborough Abraham was born May 18, 1934 in Lee County, South Carolina and departed this life on Sunday, October 20, 019 at Kershaw Health Hospital.
Mr. Abraham was educated in the public schools of Lee County.
He worked for years at Mixon Logging Company in Bishopville and later at Wilson Brothers Construction in Honea Path, SC. He retired in 2006.
He was married to the late Mrs. Jannie Williams for 36 years.
Mr. Abraham joined Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age and was a member until his death.
Mr. Abraham was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and four brothers, Blease Abraham, Frederick Abraham, Spurgeon Abraham and Kirkley Abraham.
Those left to cherish his memories are his five children: Charles Williams of Bishopville, SC, Regenia Wilson of Lake City, FL, Mavelda (Manning) Halley of Dalzell, SC and Lyndell and Macheryle Abraham of the home: eleven grandchildren: Anthony, MeMe, Faith, Tomekia, Avon, Ashleigh, Nicole, Lona, Darious, Damien, and Danielle:17 great-grandchildren; two sissters-in-law, Mrs. Beulah Register of Bishopville, SC and Mrs. Gladys Abraham of Lydia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will truly be missed by his entire family and friends.
