Willie Canty was born in Sumter, South Carolina on August 30, 1943 to the late Robert and Maybell Canty. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at his home in Bishopville, SC.
As a resident of the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, Willie enjoyed the activities and outings provided by the board, such as, outings to various restaurants, plays, parades and festivals. He had simple pleasures. He loved food, socializing and music.
Willie was an active participant of the Senior's Room at the Gibbs Activity Center. Prior to his decline in health, Willie attended the Lee County Council on Aging.
Willie was a kind and gentle giant. He was loved by all who knew him.
