Obituary for Leo Addison

Leo Addison, son of the late Willie Bill Addison and Eliza Magazine Addison, was born on Mach 13, 1949, in Lee County, SC. He was married to the late Peggy Wilson Addison. He departed his earthly life on March 13, 2020.

Leo was educated in the public schools of Bishopville, South Carolina. He later moved to Waterbury, Connecticut. There, he made his mark in life and lived it to the fullest. His gentle nature touched everyone he met. During his time in the north, he worked for Ray Packs and Chase Brass. As a young man, he worked hard and paved the way for his family. He was a member of Flaming Knights Motorcycle Club of Waterbury, CT.

After retiring, he relocated to South Carolina. Leo was very crafty and a perfectionist when it came to painting. He was a lover of music and a state of the art cook in the kitchen.

Leo found a sweet love for Christ and joined Mt. Joy Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. To know him was to love him.

He leaves to cherish his memories; eight children, Leo (Krystal) Addison, Tyrone Wilson, Kenny Addison, Yvonne Gilliams, Leo (Shawn) Wilson, Jerome Wilson, William (Hasana) Addison and Omar (Laura) Wilson, all of Waterbury, CT; five sisters, Ida Singleton, Brenda Holloman, Teresa (BJ) Jenkins and Patricia (Wortham) Davis of Bishopville, SC and Yvonne (Leroy) Flemiing of Camden, NJ; three brothers, Leroy (Shellie) Addison and Donald Addison of Waterbury, CT and Albert Addison of Washington, DC; seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; special friends, Lillie Williams, Ella Peterson, Jackie Atkinson and Larry McCall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by two brothers, Willie James and Bernard Addison; and one son, Mike Arline.

On behalf of Square Deal Funeral Home Management and Staff, we thank the Addison family for entrusting us with the final rites of Brother Leo Addison.
