Larry Eugene Pearson gained his wings on Monday October 4th 2021 at his home surrounded by love .
He was one of three children, who was born in Bishopville , South Carolina on January 31st ,1953 to Dorothy Pearson and Willie Stevenson. Larry grew up in Bishopville, South Carolina , later moving to New York City at the age of 19, It was there that his first love and Daughter Pattrell (Che-Che) Ray (Mary Ray) was born. It was also in New York City, where he would meet Rena Thomas his life long companion of 39 years. They traveled from New York and made a great life in Orlando, Florida until his passing.
Larry was an extremely giving and caring man, who loved life, music, and his family. He had a genuine love for people, alway had a kind word and never met a stranger. Known as” Hook, My love, BB, Dad, Pop-Pop Larry, or Sir Talk a lot” he was loved by many and will be sorely missed!
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Stevenson and Dorothy Pearson, his Brother Jamie Dickerson, his sister Sandra Grant (John Grant, Satasha Grant, Sherille Grant, Tamara Grant, Ronald Grant Jr. & great niece Saige Grant Ogunka) and his Grandparents Elias and Nora Pearson. He leaves to Cherish his memory, his Life Partner Rena Thomas, His Daughter Pattrell (Che-Che) Ray, Step Children, Jeaninne Mills-Mack(Rafeal), Andre Mills, and Randy Ray , his Grand children, Anaiah Ray-Hall, Xakaija Cox, Shane Ray, and Sharema Parham, two grand-great children Janecia and Mehki Wheeler and one on the way, his Sisters Sandra Grant, and a host of Uncle, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews , Cousins, and Friends.Larry Eugene Pearson gained his wings on Monday October 4th 2021 at his home surrounded by love .
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Square Deal Funeral Home, 106 McIntosh Street,
