Carol Eugene Stevens affectionately known as “Cal” was born September 10, 1947, to the late James and Hattie Stevens of Bishopville, SC. He was the youngest of ten children. He was preceded in death by five sisters, four brothers and one grandson. Cal was educated in the South Carolina public school system. He worked various jobs before being employed at Reeves Brothers, Inc., Bishopville Tire Company and Town & Country Tire Services. Cal was a faithful member of St. John AME where he served as a steward and usher. He was a member of the Sandy Bluff Lodge #44.

Cal leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia Stevens; five children, Lois McKissick, Tyrone Stevens, Nikki Gilmore, Taisha Stevens, and Ryan (Donna)Stevens; nine grandchildren, Marrell Stevens, Tre (Zilcia) Williams, Katelyn A. Stevens, Milton McKissick, Jr., Jamarion Canty, Mariah Stevens, Aniya Gilmore, Alexis Gilmore, and Jasmine DeVaull; one great grandson, Chedrick Goodwin, Jr., one sister in law, Lorraine Stevens, one brother in law, Odell Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
